It has been shown that one egg a day increases cognitive power in impoverished kids by up to 40%. A valuable asset to our chicken and egg aspirations, we are looking into making one egg a day available to our students. We are in discussions with experienced egg producers. This would be a “Made in Haiti” food solution that seeks to lessen reliance on imported soup. Currently, we ship in over one million servings of soup annually. This is good in the short-run, but needed is a Haitian solution to address the overwhelming issue of child hunger in our schools.
